Digital Signatures: Layout Tricks

Folks frequently ask whether it is possible to customize the InfoPath user interface around digital signatures. Some want to show the signature at the very bottom of the form; others want to show signatures side-by-side; others want to disable form submissions when the document wasn't digitally signed. In this article, we'll look at different ways you can tweak the form design to make it happen.
Trick 1: Display signature at the bottom of the view
InfoPath lets you show digital signature UI ("click here to sign this form") under a signable section; however, this section doesn't have to include any controls! This means that you can have your signable section with controls at the top of the form, some extra content in the middle, and then another section bound to the same nodes in the data source without any controls in it.

Your design view would look like this:

Note how the signableGroup here is multiply bound; the first section has the "allow users to digitally sign this section" checkbox unchecked:

The second one has it checked, which makes the "click here to sign this form" show up; this is how the end result looks at edit-time:

Trick 2: Disallow Submit if form was not signed
InfoPath digital signatures are appended to form XML, just like form data. For example, in the form above, nodes under signature1 will store the digital signature when the user adds it:

Using this fact, we can enforce business rules in our form: for example, what if we don't want to allow form submissions for cases when form is not signed? Let's go to Tools | Submit Options and create two rules:

1) Show must-sign warning:
    - condition: signatures2 node is blank (this will evaluate to true when no signature was added)
    - action: show a dialog box message "you must sign the form before submitting it"
    - check "stop processing rules when this rule finishes"
2) Submit to main data source:
    - condition: always applies (unless the first rule fired - we wouldn't get to this execution point then)
    - actions: submit to main data source + show dialog box message "submission was successful"
Trick 3: Show signatures side-by-side
Challenge: make a form that has signatures side-by-side at the bottom; additionally, person 3 should only be able to add their signature if previous signer (person 2) already signed the document.

We already know how to make the signatures appear at the bottom of view (trick 1); we also know how to determine if a signature was added to the document (trick 2). Let's put all of these tricks together into one powerful solution:
- Create 3 different signed data blocks, one for each person that will be signing the form. Second data block needs to signing a superset of data that the first one signed, etc. Your data source task pane will look like this:

- Place empty sections bound to the items that you want to sign in the columns of that table.
- Use containing conditionally-formatted sections to show the signing UI only when necessary.
The resulting layout will look like this:

Uninterrupted comment threads are a pleasure to read, as are well-styled lists of pingbacks. This is an excellent way to improve the usability, organization, and stylishness of your comment areas.
In this DiW tutorial, you’ll learn how to separate your responses and display the comment count for each type. Here is a diagram to help visual the goal:

As you can see, separating these lists gives us a cleaner comments area, making things easier for everyone. Even better news is that we’re going to set it up in two steps. If you would rather group the pingbacks and trackbacks and just segregate the comments, just a few tweaks and you’re off to the races.
First let’s see how to separate everything, then explain the grouping of pingbacks and trackbacks before wrapping things up.

Step 1 – Display separate comments, pingbacks, and trackbacks

The first thing we need to do is separate the different response types. Fortunately, WordPress makes this very easy. First, open your them’s single.php file and use the following template tag to call your comments.php template:

This code will enable WordPress to segregate and count each of the different response types using the $wp_query object. Now let’s separate the comments, pingbacks, and trackbacks. In your comments.php file, use the following code as your comments loop:

When one of the different response types doesn’t exist on the post, that section will simply be omitted from the markup, keeping things nice and clean.

Step 2 – Display separate response counts

Now, to display the count for each of these response types, we can call upon the $wp_query object to retrieve and echo the information:

That’s the magic bullet right there. Used as your comments loop, this code will display separate comments, pingbacks, and trackbacks, with each showing their respective number of responses in its heading. Notice we threw in some additional code there to make everything completely plug-n-play. Bottom line: slap it in and test it yourself. Should work perfectly for all WordPress 2.7 and better.

Separate comments from both pingbacks and trackbacks

Note that, alternately, you could segregate comments from both pingbacks and trackbacks, such that your comments display would show something like this:

Grouping the pingbacks and trackbacks is easy thanks to the “pings” parameter for the second wp_list_comments loop. Then to display the count for our combined pingbacks and trackbacks, we insert the following snippet into our “Pingbacks & Trackbacks” heading (similar to Step 2 above):

So, basically you link to jQuery plugin file, set the content up and style it with css. Sometimes ago I have posted an articel about "How to Create Commnet Box Under Posting" it use haloscan comment box. It working well for some bloger and bad for some bloger too. If you failed or dislike using haloscan comment box, may be this will be alternatifvfor you. This comment box is created by intensedebate.com, this comment box can be use as a widget, and to apply this widget is very simple, and to remove this is more simple it just like when you remove Page Element from your blog. Ok, if you interest to try this widget I’ll show you how to put it.

1. Login to Blogger.com the chose "Layout --> Edit HTML", click on the link "Download Full Template" to backup your template first

2. Then go to intensedebate.com site sgn up, the login and go to "dashboard"

3. On the up right you will see "add blog" button, click the button

4. Then you will see a box to insert your blog url, fill it then press the button .

Simulate Realism with CSS3

CSS3 is here to make our lives easier as web designers and developers. While it’s not something we can always rely on heavily for layout purposes just yet, we can use it to enhance certain aspects of our designs by spending a considerably less amount of time doing so.

However, CSS3 has not been created for the sole purpose of making it easier and quicker to create a website but also so we can create much better sites than we ever could with CSS before. Here are a few examples of how CSS3 can improve the web.

Polaroids – View Demo

Despite not being around today, polaroid images are still iconic and because of this is still a great way to display photos. It’s simple enough to display a basic polaroid image using a white border on all sides with a thicker border for the bottom but we can enhance it with CSS3. As you’ll see in the demo, viewed in the latest versions of Safari, Firefox or Chrome, you can add an extra layer of depth with the addition of drop-shadow and transitions.

A subtle shadow gives the impression that is sitting on a flat surface and by scaling and increasing the size and positioning of the shadow on a hover state we can create the illusion that it has been raised slightly from the surface.

Buttons – View Demo

Why do buttons exist in web design? The web is an interactive medium and buttons are a form of interaction, they are easy to understand as a metaphor for real, physical buttons we use everyday on things like computers, mp3 players, televisions and any other electronic devices we use on a daily basis.
The key to making the buttons behave more like real physical buttons using CSS3 is using code such as shown below for the second button. To achieve a circle with CSS3, set a width and a height and define border-radius as half of those values.

Anyone who follows the work of Andy Clarke will likely have seen the DVD animation of the homepage of For a Beautiful Web. The above code demonstrates how Andy implemented this effect. At this point I want to highlight what you can do when you see something interesting on the web. All you have to do is have a look at the source code to see exactly how it works and learn from it to see how you could use it in the future. Now I’m not saying copy someone’s work but adjust it to your or your client’s needs.

Basquiat was born in Brooklyn, New York. His mother, Matilde, was Puerto Rican and his father, Gerard Basquiat, is an accountant of Haitian origin. Because of his parents' nationalities, Basquiat was fluent in French, Spanish, and English from an early age. He read in these languages, including Symbolist poetry, mythology, and history. At an early age, Basquiat displayed an aptitude for art and was encouraged by his mother to draw, paint and to participate in other art-related activities. In 1977, when he was 17, Basquiat and his friend Al Diaz started spray-painting graffiti art on buildings in lower Manhattan, adding the infamous signature of "SAMO" (i.e., "same old shit") see: SAMO© Graffiti entry. The graphics were pithy messages such as "Plush safe he think.. SAMO" and "SAMO as an escape clause". In December 1978, the Village Voice published an article about the writings. The SAMO project ended with the epitaph "SAMO IS DEAD" written on the walls of SoHo buildings. Unlike the average graffiti artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat came to personify the art scene of the 80's, with its merging of youth culture, money, hype, excess, and self-destruction. And then there was the work, which the public image tended to overshadow: paintings and drawings that conjured up marginal urban black culture and black history, as well as the artist's own conflicted sense of identity. Basquiat's ploy was to write anti-materialism messages in plain view of some of the worst materialists around. This was not only a key to his rise to fame, but a stunning reflection of the tendency of the bourgeoisie to co-opt cultural opposition.

asquiat attended Edward R. Murrow High School and City as a School in New York. In 1978, Basquiat dropped out of high school and left home, a year before graduating. He moved into the city and lived with friends, surviving by selling T-shirts and postcards on the street, and working in the Unique Clothing Warehouse on Broadway. By 1979, however, Basquiat had gained a certain celebrity status amidst the thriving art scene of Manhattan's East Village through his regular appearances on Glenn O'Brien's live public-access cable show, TV Party. In the late 1970s, Basquiat formed a band called Gray (the name being a reference to the book Gray's Anatomy), with Shannon Dawson, Michael Holman, Nick Taylor & Wayne Clifford. Gray played at clubs such as Max's Kansas City, CBGB, Hurrahs, and the Mudd Club. Basquiat worked in a film Downtown 81 (a.k.a New York Beat) which featured some of Gray's rare recordings on its soundtrack He also appeared in Blondie's video "Rapture" as a replacement for DJ Grandmaster Flash when he was a no-show.

Basquiat first started to gain recognition as an artist in June 1980, when he participated in The Times Square Show, a multi-artist exhibition, sponsored by Collaborative Projects Incorporated (Colab) and Fashion Moda. In 1981, poet, art critic and cultural provocateur Rene Ricard published "The Radiant Child" in Artforum magazine, helping to launch Basquiat's career to an international stage. During the next few years, he continued exhibiting his works around New York as well as internationally (alongside other street artists) now in the galleries such as Now Gallery, later promoted by Bruno Bischofberger and other gallery owners and dealers. He later showed at the galleries of Larry Gagosian and Mary Boone.

Blanco lived and worked in his magical hilltop home until his death in 1999, feverishly creating his fantasy portraits of beautiful women. Surrounded by lush gardens, rice fields and with a Banyan tree standing over his family's temple, Antonio Blanco proceeded to create a new reality for himself. His artistic outpourings of this isolated world became much sought after by eager art lovers, collectors and promoters. Within a few years, Blanco became the most famous foreign artist to make Bali his home. So in this tutorial I'm going to show you how to refresh imageviews' contents periodically (let say by Handlers if you download the picture from web).
I had painful 2 days figuring out what's a good solution here, I tried to give IDs to imageviews and that sort of sick things, but believe me, it wasn't worth it. The solution is so simply that I hardly can believe.
What we're lookign for here is instead of create new Adapters and HashMaps (which contains ListView data), we just update it's values, and Android will do the trick for us.
The most important thing is DO NOT AT ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CREATE A NEW ADAPTER (or a new data source that holds the Adapter's data).
There's an exception of course, you obviously have to create a new Adapter in OnCreate() { }.

Let me show you how it works:
1. Step
Create a new ArrayList of HashMaps that holds the data

hashMapListForListView  = new ArrayList<HashMap<String,String>>();

we can fill it up by calling:

entitiesHashMap.put("name",  "Ball");
entitiesHashMap.put("category", "Sport");
entitiesHashMap.put("price", "2.99");
entitiesHashMap.put("imageUri", ball.Uri);

and then, we add it to the List:

hashMapListForListView.add(entitiesHashMap);

We can do this over n over, as many times as we want. 2. Step
Create a new Adapter in your OnCreate() {}

adapterForList  = new SimpleAdapter(Main.this,
                                 hashMapListForListView, R.layout.detailedview, 
                                new String[] {"name",  "category", "price", "imageUri"},

What we're doing here is that we create a new SimpleAdapter, and tell it to use hashMapForListView as data source, and also tell the listView to use adapterForList as Adapter.
R.layout.detailedview is my own Layout file, that includes 3 textviews called "R.id.EntityName, R.id.Category, R.id.Price, " and an ImageView called "R.id.ThumbImage".
As you can see, we tell the Adapter to use these UI elements. 3. Step
The refreshing
Since we have data in the List of HashMaps, we can overwrite the values, simply by calling

hashMapListForListView.set(index, entitiesHashMap);

Don't forget to create a new instance of entitiesHashMap, and set it's values just as we did in 1. Step. to get the result you'd expect. That's all you have to do, really!

If we choose Christmas gifts for children can be difficult to decide exactly what kind of toys to buy. I am a very big fan of educational toys and games type, but we must remember that imaginative play is equally important.

I must admit that the educational toy, I feel better to buy gifts. I know that if my child plays, he learns. After all, it is, what the children when they play. You will learn the skills and perfect. It is very important that our children learn and improve their skills in literacy and math, even if they are not in school.

They are not really the skills they need in life, but. We must not forget the promotion of our child’s imagination, because it is really as important as the rest. While there, they are easy to play and it is not really much to do this may seem, there are important things they learn.

By playing with Transformer toys and production of conversations and events are really learning to play scenarios in my head. This is something we all do in life. Or if you give them a compliment they are likely to improve your relationship with them. This is just using your imagination and playing scenarios in my head. You also need your ability to solve problems. Most times when you hear how people have the skills to solve problems you heard about logic simultaneously. If you have to make a logical thinking, which is certainly not everything you need. If you have a problem you can dream in your head that you are there to correct what its advantages, and may cause a negative impact of the solution.

It does not matter if you are a mechanic, a doctor, an engineer, an office or a manager. Any action you take to solve a problem is to require using your imagination to see how your solution to the problem and can cause side effects.

So this year, if you try picking gifts for children this year to remind them. It is our duty to teach and ensure they are learning. So we want to ensure that learning all the skills they need.
